Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the implementation of EHS programs and compliance initiatives for the construction operations in New Albany. This role plays a critical part in building and sustaining a strong safety culture and ensuring alignment with local regulations and global safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with line management to integrate EHS into daily operations and project planning.
• Implement and monitor the EHS Management System across project sites.
• Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance.
• Develop site-specific safety plans, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead and support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with contractors, government agencies, and clients on EHS-related matters.
• Maintain up-to-date EHS documentation and training records.
• Track and report key safety metrics, including incident rates and training completion.
• Ensure all incidents are reported and responded to promptly.
• Provide ongoing EHS training and ensure emergency response preparedness.
• Use platforms such as ACC and DataScope for EHS monitoring and reporting.

Talent Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field; OR
• 10+ years of relevant EHS experience in the construction sector.
• Safety certifications preferred: CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or SHEP.
• Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction, Incident Investigation training, OSHA 500.
• Strong working knowledge of EHS systems and regulatory requirements.
• Formal training in incident investigation methods (TapRooT®, 5 Whys, etc.).
• Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
