Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Location: Union, IL

Salary: $55,000-$73,000

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our client's organization in the Union, IL area. This role will also include travel to Southeastern Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and plan all inventory-related activities across warehouse or distribution environments.
• Receive, store, and track inbound shipments; reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Investigate discrepancies and shortages; prepare accurate inventory reports for management.
• Recommend replenishment strategies and maintain appropriate safety stock levels.
• Operate inventory management software (Epicor experience highly preferred); ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
• Collaborate with logistics, purchasing, and sales teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
• Travel between multiple locations as needed to ensure inventory accuracy and operational consistency.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of applicable experience in inventory or warehouse operations.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with all areas of operations to maintain proper inventory levels without overstocking.
• Experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience is a significant plus.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical capability to lift and move inventory in warehouse settings.
• Self-starter with a proactive, “go-getter” attitude and willingness to jump in where needed.
• High level of trustworthiness and reliability for managing inventory across multiple locations.
