At Sam’s Club, we're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team and help us unlock the power of data to drive smarter decisions and better outcomes .  You’ll work closely with teams in Operations to design and deploy solutions that drive measurable impact—from improving efficiency to enhancing member experience .

What You'll Do:

• Analyze complex da tasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities .  
• Translate business challenges into measurable solutions.
• Build and deploy scalable data products and models. 
• Build and stand up software and data products independently, demonstrating ownership of the full development lifecycle . 
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption. 
• Communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences, presenting problems, hypotheses, and solutions with clarity and business relevance. 

What You'll Bring: 

• 5+ years of hands-on professional work experience as a data scientist.
• Ability to perform well under pressure, maintain focus , and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast -paced, ambiguous, and dynamic environment.
• Ability to manage conflicting and demanding priorities effectively. 
• Proven track record of translating complex business needs into data-driven solutions that deliver measurable impact and align with strategic objectives .  
• Strong knowledge of data engineering, including data pipelines, data quality, and database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.
• Python proficiency .
• Expertise in analytical modeling techniques, feature engineering, and model assessment using best practice validation methods .  
• Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders . 
• Experience deploying and scaling analytical models in production environments with attention to sustainability and performance.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience influencing and aligning stakeholders, bringing together different groups to collaborate on business needs.
• A curious mindset and a passion for solving ambiguous problems and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Professional work experience with Spark and dashboarding. 
• Working knowledge and understanding of GenAI and AI solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).

Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
