Job Description

Over the past decade, Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar has grown from a two-man dream in a garage to over 6000sq ft of showroom, media creation, and vintage instrument dedicated restoration space in the heart of Seattle's Fremont neighborhood. We're proud to be one of the world's leading used and vintage instrument retailers, and a Pacific Northwest destination for instrument repair.

We hire individuals who are passionate and engaged, with the goal of pushing the boundaries of what's expected of an instrument retailer and repair shop, with a strong focus on engagement and expertise.

Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar is looking to hire an individual with experience in shipping and warehouse-related tasking. This role requires a high degree of detail orientation, the ability to play guitar and provide a layer of final testing and QC, and the ability to reorganize priorities quickly and efficiently. We value someone who has great autonomy but also can engage easily with our various departments.

Applications from those who have been traditionally underrepresented in the music industry are strongly encouraged. We strive for our staff to be representative of a diverse and vibrant community that includes multiple identities, perspectives and influences.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship retail orders accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare shipments by labeling, weighing, and packaging items properly
  • Perform final testing and QC (ability to play guitar required)
  • Verify orders against e-commerce platforms to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Meet daily shipping deadlines and productivity goals
  • Maintain organized shipping, packing, and storage areas
  • Fluency with ShipStation software
  • Place supply orders for boxes, packing materials, etc
  • Coordinate with retail, inventory, and customer service teams

Qualifications

  • Ability to work full-time on a regular schedule (including weekends or holidays if required)
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move packages (typically up to 40–50 lbs plus team lifts for larger parcels)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Fluency with Google sheets and retail POS systems

You must be able to stand on your feet for an eight hour shift in a fast-paced environment, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The ability to navigate and switch gears while maintaining priorities is necessary.

Hours

This is a full-time on-site position conducted during shop hours Tuesday-Saturday, 10:30-6:30.

Benefits

We provide a competitive health plan option for our employees, paid time off, a retirement matching plan, employee discounts, and regular team events. If you want to work with a dynamic crew, please reach out today!
